Aloha Growers Welcomes Tempa & Naor
Now Part of the Aloha Growers Artist Ohana
Maui, Hawaii (May 25, 2023) – Aloha Growers, a Hawai’i-based Artist Management and Marketing Agency, is pleased to announce the addition of one of Maui’s most famous duos, Tempa & Naor. They join a specially curated roster of highly talented and unique artists that make up the Aloha Growers Ohana.
When asked about this new addition, Scott Johnson, owner and co-founder of Aloha Growers, says “I’ve been a fan of Tempa & Naor for years so signing them with AG was a no-brainer. They bring a musical style that’s original, powerful, and rooted in pure passion. Jill and I are thrilled to be growing these amazing artists.”
Both Tempa & Naor come from rich musical backgrounds with Tempa having several accolades for her band Tempa and the Tantrums which was nominated for 5 Westword Music Showcase Awards and won Best Blues Band in Colorado in the Westword Music Showcase Awards in 2006. Naor studied music and graduated from Overtone in Tel Aviv and while going to school auditioned for Israeli Idol (Israeli version of American Idol) where he made it to the top 20. He has over 20 years of experience as a songwriter, guitarist, and singer.
For the past 13 years, Tempa & Naor Nave have been making waves on Maui. Most notably known for leading their larger-than-life Mardi Gras performances with their famous Maui band, Soul Kitchen (named Maui Time Best Band 2017). The Tempa & Naor Project allows them to expand on their duo with special featured guests. Their original music draws from personal experiences, weaving powerful and honest lyrics that explore themes of transformation, love, loss, and release. Their song list includes a range of originals and eclectic covers, featuring a wide range of artists from Billie Holiday and Guns & Roses to John Prine and Kings of Leon. Each song is arranged with their unique musical style, infusing soul and folk elements into the mix.
