Maui, Hawaii (November 14, 2023) – Tempa & Naor and Aloha Growers are excited to announce that in December 2023, the band Tempa & the Tantrums will return and throw musical tantrums with a re-imagined sound. The new Tempa & the Tantrums will showcase a genre of Swamp Grooves inspired by Soul, Blues, Rock, Jam, and Americana. They’ve created a unique sound and curated special songs to get audiences movin’ and groovin’ to their take on Swamp Grooves. To celebrate the holidays, Aloha Growers is presenting a debut Tempa & the Tantrums show on December 22, 2023, at Mulligans On The Blue in Wailea.

The band includes Tempa on vocals with her creative and life partner, Naor Nave, on guitar and ukulele. Joining them is their good friend and highly talented, Michael Ferenci, on guitar. Island newcomer, Ashton Yarbrough, is on bass, and Maui’s well-known and loved cajon player, Travis Rice, brings his organic talent to the band.

From 2000 to 2012, Tempa and the Tantrums rocked Colorado and toured around the United States and Israel. In 2006, they won the Westword Music Showcase Award’s “Best Blues Band in Colorado” and in 2007 won the “Best All Comers Jam.”

Tempa & the Tantrums produced three albums and were featured on national and international Blues compilation albums. Although the band gradually stopped playing, it would always be Tempa’s tantrum to throw, and throw another one she is!
